The risk management system of JV Zarechnoye JV (hereinafter referred to as the Company) is a set of interrelated components combined into a single process in which each employee of the Company participates in identifying potential events that may affect the Company's operations and manages these events within the risk level acceptable for shareholders.

JV Zarechnoye JSC defines the following main risk management principles:

The company carries out the production of uranium mining by the method of in-situ leaching in the Zarechnoe deposit in the Turkestan Kazakhstan region.

Development strategy – defining of the Company activity areas aimed at achievement of the goals established by the Company, including those within investment program.

Within its strategy the Company confirms its commitment to achievement of the goals of the founders: long-term increase of the value of the Company’s assets, assistance in improvement of corporate management system, and diversification of the Company business.

Joint stock company «Kazakh-Russian-Kyrgyz joint venture with foreign investments “Zarechnoye” has been established for development of Zarchnoye uranium field located in Otyrar District, South-Kazakhstan Region.

The Contract for Exploration and Production of Uranium at Zarechnoye field in South-Kazakhstan Region, Kazakhstan, No.996 was signed on 23 September 2002.

Geological surveys at the field have been accomplished in June 2004 by defense of the report on reserves at GKZ RoK (Minutes No. 319-04-К,У dated 23.06.2004).

Joint stock company «Kazakh-Russian-Kyrgyz joint venture with foreign investments “ZARECHNOYE” (the Company) defines the name, location, establishment procedure and competence of the Company bodies, conditions for reorganization, termination of the Company business and other regulations not contradicting with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The Company has been established in accordance with the Deed of Incorporation of the Company executed on the basis of the Resolution of the Founders (Minutes of Founders Meeting dated 23 August 2001).
